The Physical Education Department goals are for all students to understand the importance of lifelong physical activity and to help students find a sport or activity to participate in for a long-time of fitness and health.


Physical Education

Grade Level   ■ 9  ■ 10  ■ 11 ■ 12

One Year:  10 Credits

Prerequisite:   None

EHS PE uniform required: $20


This course teaches a variety of sports and activities.  We have a well-rounded program which includes: running/ jogging/ walking, jumping rope, sit-ups, and push-ups.  Sports and activities include volleyball, flag football, soccer, Frisbee, pickleball, badminton, softball, basketball, golf, floor hockey, bowling, and lacrosse. All of our Physical Education classes are 9th-12th grade and Co/Ed.


Weight Training

This course offers students an opportunity to further develop their skills and increase their muscular endurance and strength.  Activities include developing physical fitness, conditioning, muscular endurance and strength.  Sets and repetitions are designed to increase strength, size and endurance for the total body.  The Bigger, Stronger, Faster weight program is used throughout the year.


Walking and Yoga

One Year:  10 Credits

Prerequisite:   Instructor Approval

Walking and Yoga is designed to improve the basic knowledge of personal fitness and physical conditioning of each student.  Students will walk most days, switching to yoga one or more days a week in inclement weather.  The course will promote the development of a lifelong, positive attitude toward fitness.
