Hello Spartan Students and Families,
I am Mario Landeros, the proud principal of Esparto High School and I am so excited about the upcoming school year. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and why I enjoy working with the students, staff, and community of Esparto High School.
This year I will be entering my 18th year in education. I have been an administrator in Yolo and Solano County high schools for 8 years now. Before I became an administrator I was a teacher for 10 years the area of Social Science/History and I also coached. In my time as an administrator I have continually worked to develop Career Technical Education (CTE) opportunities for students, support English Language Learner population, and worked to create a more prideful and caring campus through student activities and positive behavior intervention strategies.
My wife and I have three wonderful and energetic children and I live in Vacaville. Having spent my entire life in Vacaville and the Sacramento Valley region, I am very familiar with
Esparto is a special community. What attracted me to Esparto are Esparto High School's amazing CTE programs, the dual enrollment opportunities with Woodland Community College, and the care and support provided to its students who are English Language Learners.
One of my most important beliefs is that in order to move the school forward, we must do it together. The “we” is inclusive of students, staff, parents, community, and district support. With the hardworking staff of EHS and community involvement, I am positive that we can move forward together.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to a great year.
