Math and Science Sequence

SUGGESTED MATHEMATICS SEQUENCE GRADES 9-12

Esparto Unified School District Mathematics Placement Policy


In order to place students appropriately into a math course as they transition from middle school to high school, the following five objective academic measures shall be considered:


  • Grades in Middle School math courses

  • Teacher recommendations

  • Score on Renaissance Star Assessment (taken during the Spring of the 8th grade year)

  • Initial Course Assessment given in the first weeks of their Freshman year
